On March 3rd, 2006, Wal-Mart announced that it would begin to carry Plan B at all of its retail stores nationwide starting March 20th. The reason? Mounting pressure from women’s health advocates and policymakers around the country.

The Back Up Your Birth Control campaign has developed suggested activities and sample materials to help women’s health advocates verify that Wal-Mart is making good on its promise to stock EC and to ensure that its pharmacists plan to dispense Plan B to women who need a second chance to prevent pregnancy. Use the materials below to plan your Wal-Mart visit and be sure to let us know what you learn!

  • Wal-Mart Action Packet
